Welcome! My name is Casey Walker and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience counseling children, adolescents, and young adults. I became an LPC in 2023, after serving as a Professional School Counselor since graduating with a Master of Education in School Counseling in 2021 from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Prior to obtaining my Master's degree, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Applied Developmental Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh.
As a practitioner rooted in the Person-Centered theory, I believe that every client has the drive and capacity needed for growth when provided with a nonjudgmental environment. By integrating Solution-Focused and Cognitive Behavior Therapy, I will work with you or your child to grow and reach the outcomes that you are striving toward.
The guidance and support that my teenage daughters received at Sense of Direction Counseling have been instrumental in helping them navigate life's challenges. They were provided a safe and non-judgmental space where they could openly express their thoughts and feelings knowing that they would be met with empathy and respect. They helped them develop practical coping strategies. I cannot recommend Sense of Direction Counseling enough to anyone seeking professional guidance and a compassionate ear!
After graduating college, I had a tough time adjusting to the normal day to day life. I was in a stressful job, adjusting to new routines and navigating differing levels of personal relationships. Joe helped tremendously by teaching me how to handle my emotions in different situations and stop thinking with a “rear view mirror mindset”. I cannot thank Joe and the team enough for being there to listen and help to adjust my mindset so I can live without my anxiety getting in the way!
I have fought anxiety and depression since I was a young child, however I did not realize it then. Finally at 34 years old, Roxanne has helped me learn to fight my anxiety and depression, with so many effective tools. I had been to several different therapists, starting in my 20s, before finding Roxanne. The longest I ever stayed was about a year, usually much shorter, and they never gave me any tools to help combat the anxiety and depression. My bery first appointment with Roxanne she started giving me useful tools to help manage everyday anxiety and depression! I have been with Roxanne for over 3 years now, and I am so thankful for the tools, support, and guidance, I know I can depend on her to continuously give.

Roxanne has always made my son and I feel comfortable in each session. She's never made me feel judged by my parenting decisions and has offered both my son and me tools and different perspectives. Both of my children have seen her individually at one point. Currently my son sees Roxanne on a weekly basis for individual therapy and our family sees her together monthly for family therapy. She's made our family feel like we are in a safe place which leads us to feeling comfortable expressing our feelings. She's always been open and honest with my son's therapy, and I value her opinion. In less than a year my family can use these tools effortlessly and express how we are feeling to one another. I highly recommend her for individual and family therapy!
